We have a goal here at musiXmatch. We want to build the most extensive lyrics database on the planet. We are going to achieve this by keeping our system open — 3rd parties can plug their data into the musiXmatch metadata platform and we will track each lyric view on your behalf.
In the current scenario many databases of song lyrics are incomplete, even many music publishers are missing important information. We are working to fill in the blanks by inputting lyrics from as many legitimate sources as possible, including metadata from both the catalogs of music recordings and music publishers, and are using powerful matching algorithms to fill in missing information and to clean up mistakes.
musiXmatch’s value proposition is self-evident — we are opening our platform to anyone that wants to contribute lyrics or song metadata from artists, composers, lyricists and publishers.
We welcome all the indies, small music pubishers and individual artists. Anyone who wants to contribute will automatically benefit from our platform. We track your lyric views on our network of legitimate lyrics sites and pay you from the advertising or e-commerce revenues that are generated from that view.
